Walkthrough

The quest for Mask of Medium - the mark for changing class from Orc Mystic to Orc Shaman. An Orc Mystic from level 18 can take it. It starts with Tataru Zu Hestui in «Orc Village»; the second half of the quest is done, at your choice, in «Gludin Village» or in «Town of Schuttgart».

# Start and preparing the offering

  1. Talk to Tataru Zu Hestui in «Orc Village». Press «Say you want to be an Orc Shaman», then «Say you want to become a true Orc Shaman» - the quest is taken, you get Fire Charm.
  2. Kill Kasha Bear - it drops Kasha Bear Pelt (100% chance). The bears live in «Immortal Plateau, Northern Region» and near «Frozen Waterfalls».
  3. In the same area kill Kasha Blade Spider - it drops Kasha Blade Spider Husk (100% chance).
  4. Kill Scarlet Salamander in «Cave of Trials» - it drops 1st Fiery Egg (100% chance).
  5. Return to Tataru Zu Hestui. He takes the charm and all three items and gives you Hestui Mask and 2nd Fiery Egg.

# The totem spirit and choosing the route

  1. Find Hestui Totem Spirit: he stands southwest of «Orc Village», outside its walls.
  2. Press «Wear Hestui mask», then «Give fiery egg». The spirit takes the mask and the egg and gives you Totem Spirit Claw.
  3. Return to Tataru Zu Hestui and press «Perform the ritual».
  4. Choose your path. «I'll learn the names of 99 souls» - he takes the claw and gives you Tataru's Letter of Recommendation, then head to «Gludin Village» (stage "Names of the Spirits").
  5. Or «I want to inherit the wisdom of the 99 souls» - he takes the claw without giving anything back, then head to «Town of Schuttgart» (stage "Wisdom of the Souls").

# Names of the spirits (Gludin)

  1. Take Tataru's Letter of Recommendation to Umos in «Gludin Village» - he takes the letter and gives you Flame Charm.
  2. Kill 3 Grizzly Bear in «Fellmere Harvesting Grounds» north of the village - each drops Grizzly Blood (100% chance), you need 3.
  3. Return to Umos. He takes the charm and the blood and gives you Blood Cauldron.
  4. Find Duda-Mara Totem Spirit north of «Gludin Arena». Press «Show the blood cauldron», then «Say you want to learn the names of the spirits» - the spirit takes the cauldron and gives you Spirit Net.
  5. Hunt Venomous Spider and Arachnid Tracker in «Fellmere Harvesting Grounds» or on «Windmill Hill». The first five kills give one Durka Parasite each; from the sixth to the eighth kill Durka Spirit may appear next to you: 10% chance on the sixth kill, 20% on the seventh, guaranteed on the eighth.
  6. Kill Durka Spirit - the parasites disappear and you get Bound Durka Spirit.
  7. Return to Duda-Mara Totem Spirit - he takes the spirit and gives you Totem Spirit Blood.
  8. Take the blood to Umos and press «Perform the ritual» - you get Mask of Medium.

# Wisdom of souls (Schuttgart)

  1. Go to «Town of Schuttgart» to Moira, then talk to Totem Spirit of Gandi next to him and press «I want the knowledge».
  2. Go to «Valley of the Lords». Dead Leopard's Carcass stands there, surrounded by five Black Leopard (level 18, not aggressive, respawn in 30 seconds).
  3. Kill one Black Leopard and talk to Dead Leopard's Carcass.
  4. Kill another Black Leopard and talk to Dead Leopard's Carcass again: press «Listen carefully to the song», then «Listen to the song of fire».
  5. Kill a third Black Leopard and talk to Dead Leopard's Carcass one last time - he sends you to Totem Spirit of Gandi.
  6. Return to «Town of Schuttgart», talk to Totem Spirit of Gandi and press the button with the ellipsis.
  7. Talk to Moira - you get Mask of Medium.

# Reward and class transfer

  1. Along with Mask of Medium you get 163,800 adena, XP and SP - if the character has not received them for another first class change quest yet. Otherwise you only get the mask.
  2. The quest itself does not change your class. From level 20 take the mask to a pontiff - for example, Osborn stands next to Umos in «Gludin Village», Drikus is in «Town of Gludio», Castor is in «Town of Dion». He takes the mask and makes you a Orc Shaman.
