Augmentation (Life Stone)

# How augmentation works
Augmentation is the enhancement of weapons and accessories using Life Stone and Gemstone. By inserting a Life Stone into an item, you get two additional effects at once. The system follows retail (like-off) High Five logic and is fully implemented and activated on the server: chances, effect sets, and rarity categories match official servers. An augment consists of two slots: the first slot is always a stat bonus (for example, Max HP, P. Atk., critical chance), and the second slot is a passive bonus, a triggered effect, or an active skill on the weapon.
# Second-effect categories
The second augment slot is rolled across four rarity categories. First the category is determined, then the specific effect within it. This is the retail chance distribution 55 / 35 / 7 / 3, the same for all Life Stone grades.
Second-effect category chance
| Category | Chance | What you can get |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 55% | Weak stat bonus |
| 2 | 35% | Medium stat bonus |
| 3 | 7% | Strong effect / skill |
| 4 | 3% | Active skill (most valuable) |
# Example: what you can roll
Let's look at the example of a Top-Grade Life Stone - Level 86 (
, available from character level 85) in a physical weapon. In this stone the first slot offers 95 stat-bonus variants (P. Def., M. Def., Max HP/CP/MP, P. Atk., M. Atk., regen, accuracy, critical chance, as well as base stats STR/CON/INT/MEN +1). The second slot is split into 4 categories (13 / 17 / 107 / 54 effects).
# Real examples: stats and skills (Top-Grade Life Stone - Level 86)

# Base stats (+1 STR / CON / INT / MEN)
A base-stat increase (+1 to STR, CON, INT, or MEN) is a separate sought-after augment result. It is available only in the first slot and only when augmenting weapons with Top-Grade stones.
Where base stats can roll
| Source | +1 stat increase |
|---|---|
| Weapon, Top-Grade Life Stone (any level) | Yes, ~1.05% for each of STR / CON / INT / MEN |
| Weapon, No / Mid / High-Grade Life Stone | No |
| Accessories, any Life Stone | No |
# Life Stone and Gemstone
Life Stones come in four grades and several levels. The grade and level determine the power of the stat bonuses and the contents of the effect pool; base stats on weapons are available only with Top-Grade. To start augmentation, Gemstones are consumed in addition to the Life Stone — their quantity depends on the grade of the equipped item.
